Voler Systems hires Vice President of Engineering

Voler Systems, a leading full-service product development consulting firm, has hired John Dring to be its Vice President of Engineering. He will be responsible for the development of complex board based systems which require hardware and firmware experience and knowledge. John is an accomplished leader and engineer of innovative, high-technology products. Most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Product Development at Vital Connect, Inc. John has deep experience in wireless and mobile architectures as a former Principal Wireless Architect at Intel.

“John has demonstrated the leadership and technical talent to lead teams of engineers developing outstanding products, including at what is widely considered the best semiconductor company in the world,” said Walt Maclay, president of Voler Systems. “Voler Systems’ future depends on engineers who can create the most innovative, technologically advanced products in the world on schedule and on budget. John’s experience in hardware and software design and team leadership makes him a key addition to our leadership team.”

John will lead Voler Systems’ engineering team in product development consulting services, including design for medical devices, motor control, sensors, and wireless systems. John has a BS in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
