COVID-19: Dealing with the Crisis
By Walt Maclay, Voler Systems
Life is being disrupted for many people and businesses by the adjustments to deal with the COVID-19 virus. At Voler, these disruptions are minimal due to our normal business model to set up all staff to regularly work from home when not at the client or in our lab. As a result, your project will be only minimally impacted. We are addressing on a case-by-case basis how to handle those times when people need to work together or with your people. There are ways we can do this safely.
Our business development people are also not impacted very much. They will not be visiting you in person for now, but they will remain in contact by phone, email or teleconferencing with business as usual while they work from home. If your business is facing unexpected issues, we may be able to help. Perhaps you need some testing done, or perhaps you have an urgent project to aid with the crisis. We are able to start new projects quickly.

Companies are rushing new products to market to deal with COVID-19. Our Universal Health Sensor Platform is a great way to quickly create a prototype of a wearable device that measures parameters on the human body.
Voler Can Help Get New Products to Market Fast
You may have a device almost ready for volume production, but it is held up needing verification testing or compliance testing. Voler can help. After design, medical devices must be tested to ensure they meet the requirements. Voler has many years of experience with this verification testing. We can ensure the documentation will meet FDA and CE requirements.
Products must meet certain requirements for emission of RF energy (EMC), electrostatic discharge (ESD), and safety. Compliance testing ensures the product meets these requirements. Voler can help you identify the compliance requirements for your particular device. We can supervise the testing, and we have very senior engineers with many years of experience fixing problems with EMC,ESD, or safety. There has been a shortage of testing facilities, and that has become more acute with the need to work at home. Voler has ongoing relationships with facilities that are still open and doing testing.
