A manufacturer of lighting fixtures needed to reduce the cost of manufacturing at their plant in Berkeley, CA. An important part of the manufacturing process is punching holes in the lighting fixture. Positioning of the fixture in the punch was done manually.

Voler installed a 25-foot slide that positions parts under the punch. The controller positions the slide, stops, and activates the punch without operator action. It makes light fixtures with various numbers and spacings of cut-outs. We set up the software so the customer can enter recipes for new parts.
