In 2001 we built a control system for a machine that applies thin coatings. It is used to manufacture large LCD displays, a rapidly growing field for televisions, PCs, and hand-held devices.
In 2006 the equipment was being sold to another company, but it had been in storage, and it did not work. Voler was called to help out. Although our memory of the work we had done five years earlier was not so good, we had the documentation. The equipment had been built for a small startup, which did not have good record keeping.
We were able the fix the problem in a few hours and provide a complete electrical schematic and written description of the operation and maintenance procedures. Due to our careful record keeping the machine was repaired and sold, and it included complete documentation. We keep a permanent copy of all material, schematics, layouts, software, source code, and documentation for every project we do.
