Acorn Product Development provides comprehensive product engineering services—from turnkey product development, sub-assembly development, and engineering analysis to materials cost analysis and manufacturing cost reduction—for leading companies around the globe. They are based in Silicon Valley with design centers in Atlanta, Boston, Denver, and China.

Ken Haven, Founder and Chairman, has more than 40 years of product development experience, including technical leadership roles with NeXT Computer, Attain, Inc., and Hewlett-Packard. He holds MS and BS degrees in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.

Voler Systems and Acorn Product Development collaborate on projects where the combined skills of the two companies are needed to produce a complete quality design.

One recent joint project was early design work on a wearable communicator for seniors. We worked with Acorn to investigate a number of technologies, including wireless, power control, audio, and sensors. Together we were able to provide a turnkey solution to a large Japanese company and assisted them with developing a demo unit for a trade show.
