Fascinating Resource

QuantifiedSelf

Recently I attended a TiE event on “Quantified Self: The Next Frontier in Mobile Self-Tracking“. It was a panel of experts who gave an overview of the state-of-the-art and latest developments in self-tracking tools. One resource that was mentioned that I have found particularly useful is the Quantified Self’s Guide to Self-Tracking Tools. It documents more than 500 tools for fitness, sleep, learning, gas mileage, medicine and productivity.

A couple of fun examples you will find on there

Zeo Personal Sleep Coach

A wireless headband, bedside display, set of online analytical tools, and an email-based personalized sleep coaching program.

NeuroSky MindWave

“The MindWave Education turns your computer into a private tutor. The headset takes decades of medical EEG technology and puts it into a bundled software package for under $100. It safely measures brainwave signals and monitors the attention levels of students as they interact with math, memory and pattern recognition applications. Ten apps are included with experiences ranging from fun entertainment to serious education.”
